Obituary Mary Louise Pressley Chiles |
On Saturday, April 25, 2015, the Lord called home Mary Louise Pressley Chiles. Mary was the first born of seven children to the late Evelyn McCutchen and Willie Curry Pressley. She was born October 7, 1940, in Nesmith, SC. She was educated in the Williamsburg County public school system and graduated from Battery Park High School in 1957. Her education was completed at the Martha Washington School for Nursing in Washington, DC. In 1959, Mary married Willie James Chiles, who preceded her in death. They resided in the Washington, DC area. Mary was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at DC General Hospital until she retired in 1994. She also worked at various other hospitals and facilities in the metropolitan area. Around 1996, Mary and Willie joined the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. She joined the Hospitality and Missionary Ministries. She will be remembered for her wisdom, strength and for having a kind and loving heart.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted children, Renee Turner (George), Derrick Chiles (Raynee), LaVater Chiles; sisters, Johnnie Mae Pressley (Newton) and Luvenia Pressley; three brothers, Theodore Pressley, Nathaniel Pressley, and lrven Pressley; grand-children, Crystal Harris, Brittany Harris, Derrick Chiles, Jr. and Joshlyn Chiles; four great grandchildren, two uncles, I3 nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Pressley. |
