Obituary

 

Lawrence B, Harris was born in Washington, D.C. on June 30, l951 to the late Myrle E. Harris and Herman Lancaster. He was educated in the public schools of the District of Columbia. Larry began his work career at the Pentagon. He later worked as an emergency medical assistant before moving on to Johnson Flower Shop and United Parcel Service.

 

Larry married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Price. From this union, they had one son, Darnell. Both Darnell and Joyce predeceased Larry. His sister, Lanita O. Odom, and brother, John w. Harris, also preceded him in death.

 

Larry loved fishing, cooking, the Washington Redskins and playing cards with his family. He also loved listening to "oldies." His claim to fame was "cutting a record" with his friends from the neighborhood. Larry also cared deeply for his special friends, Theresa, Coretta and her daughter Sterlene, who he delivered at birth.

 

Larry leaves to mourn two sisters, Elaine Chiles and Dolores Scott (Claude), one sister-in-law, Juanita Redman Harris, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
