Obituary Clarence Donnelly Johnson

Clarence Donnelly Johnson, son of the late Carson and Rena Johnson, departed this life Tuesday, November 24, 1981 at the Washington Hospital Center.

 

Clarence was born October 25, 1901 in Washington, D.C. He attended Washington's public schools and graduated from Dunbar High School and Howard University. Graduate and Post Graduate degrees were received from Columbia University of New York. In 1969, Clarence retired from the Fauquier County, Va. public schools where he taught and was an administrator for thirty years. He also held many offices with professional organizations. Clarence was a teacher, administrator, counselor, and a friend to all.

 

He leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Harris; six nieces Mrs. Elizabeth Dent, Mrs. Sylvia Reed, Mrs. Annette Swinney, Mrs. Elaine Chiles, and Mrs. Delores Scott all of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Lanita0domof Willingsboro, N.J.; four nephews Edgar McCard, James McCard, Lawrence Harris of Washington, D.C. and John Harris of Fort Dix, N.J.; a host of grand nieces and grand nephews and other relatives and friends. Also, left to mourn his passing is a devoted friend of many years Clarence J. Lawson of Warrenton, Virginia.
