MR. ZEB V. SUTTON,
son of the late Stewart and Octavia Sutton, was born December 27, 1904 in
Warren County, N. C. and was called to rest on Tuesday, January 27, 1987 in
University Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida.
He Joined the Ashley Grove Baptist church at an early age and remained
a member until death.
On October 29, 1929, he was married to the former lda
Pearl Yancey. To this union one daughter and nine sons were born.
Those left, not to mourn, but to cherish the memory of his love and
devotion are his wife, Mrs. Ida P. Sutton of the home; a daughter, Mrs.
Mattie P. Fletcher of Jacksonville, Florida; eight son’s,
Stewart K. Sutton of Irvington, N. J., Harry Sutton of orange, N. J., Steve
B. Sutton of Durham, N. C., Clemon Sutton of
Providence, Rhode Island, Robert Sutton and James Sutton of the home, Zeb
M. Sutton of Richmond, va., Walter Brown of
Baltimore, Md.; thirty. three grandchildren ;
twenty-two great, grandchild ren; six
daughter-in-law Mrs. Emma S. Sutton of Irvington, N..J., Mrs. Elsie Sutton
of Newark, N.J., Mrs. Diane Sutton of Orange, N.J., Mrs. pearl Sutton of
Richmond, Va.., Mrs. Olivia Brown of Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Elizabeth
Sutton of Durham, N. C.; one son-in-law, Will R. Fletcher of Jacksonville,
Florida; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Virgie Johnson and Mrs. Leonia Alston
both of Baltimore, MD. one niece,
Mrs. Bertha M. Townsend of North Hollywood, California; three great. great nieces; two nephews, Carroll and Joseph
Devon; a host of other relatives and friends.
