early and left late For those of us who knew him our lives have been
indelibly marked by a man whose purpose was to be the best and to bring out
the best in others. Worley was never a stranger to anyone for long. His
spiritual, vocational, and educational values were united in a rare,
delightful optimistiefaith that we will truly miss. He was trained by the best Born in
Zebulon in Wake County, North Carolina on October 14, 1936 to
sharecroppers, Aldonia and Worley Samuel Pace, Sr., he worked side by side
with his brothers and sisters on the farm. He was the first born and proved
his leadership abilities time and time again. Worley understood
responsibility and what it meant to be a man After serving in the army, he
was united in matrimony to Bertha Mae Saulter on June 13, 1965. His
vocational efforts spanned two decades in the Pennsylvania Department of
Corrections. He retired in August 1994 after many honors and promotions as
Chief of Education. Worley's perpetual smile influenced thousands of
inmates, students, teachers, families and friends. His living legacy
includes his wife Bertha S. Pace, two daughters; His' Shelle and Chrissy
and his namesake son, Worley S Pace, III, his father Worley S. Pace, Sr.,
his brothers and sisters, Richard and Benjamin, Alberta and Joan; five
grandchildren, son-in-laws, Donald and Steve. The list of mourners far
