Mrs. Susie Brandon
Peace, church woman, mother and public servant'. can be appropriately
described as a Godly woman who vigorously pursued a Godly path toward a
Godly cause. This chosen course of action made her unique and set her apart
in God's orchard as an abundantly productive fruitbearing tree whose leaves
of concern for human betterment never withered.Born eighty-nine years a o.
February 10, 1893 in Granville County., she was the daughter of the late
Osh Brandon and Sarah Williams Brandon. She was very industrious and was
highly respected by the people with whom she worked. She was a good
neighbor., a woman who will be greatly missed in the community in which she
lived. Being a member of the Ilong Baptist Church, she was indeed a trua
missionary. Not only did she attend her church, but also the Raleigh Road
Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. Living near this church., she found it
convenient to attend and labor for our Master. She was a member of Mable
Pearl Tent No. 669. She was a true missionary to everyone who needed her
help. Her husband, the late Louis Peace and two children preceded her in
death. She was very proud of hor family whom she loved dearly and that love
was returned by them. Those who will be most deprived of the warmth of her
sweetness and the strength of her noble character include six daughters,,
