Obituary Robert T. Adams

Mr. Robert T. Adams was born in Wake County to the late Saunders and Winnie Debnam Adams on February 25, 1888, departed his life June 4, 1973, at Wake Memorial Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.

 

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age, joining Eagle Rock United Church of Christ and worked faithful while there. He was married to the late Ramour Decie Arnold from this union they bore seven children. Later, moved to Lee County and joined Chestnut Methodist Church where he served as Teacher of the Adult's Sunday School Class, Trustee and Deacon Board, the Senior Choir, and remained there until the death of his wife.

 

He returned to Wake County and reinstated his membership at Eagle Rock United Church of Christ for the remainder of his life. There he made many contributions; among them were a deacon for many years, teacher of Adult Sunday School Class, and also served as Church Treasurer. Here was a soul dedicated to the service of his church and his community.

 

On October 16, 1937, he united in Holy Matrimony to Miss Theo Howard and to this union three children.
