Mrs. Mary Thorpe
Johns, daughter of the late Peter and Betty Thorpe was born on May 21, 1912
in Wake County, North Carolina. She departed this life on February 14,
1997.
She received her education in the North Carolina School System.
She was the wife of the late McKeever Johns. Mary and McKeever moved to
Philadelphia in 1942. To this union was born a daughter, the late Mary Ann
Craddock.
She retired from the Naval Base after 29 years of Federal Service.
Mary faithfully attended Sunrise Service at Calvary Baptist Church
until she became incapacitated. She will be sorely missed by all who knew
her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: four granddaughters, Sabrina, Mary
Elizabeth, Aline and Gabrille Craddock of Philadelphia, PA., two great
granddaughters, Eileen and Manashea; one great grandson, Marcus; two
nephews; three nieces in North Carolina; one Goddaughter, Felicia Anderson;
and a host of special neighbors and friends.
