Mr. Leroy Adams, son
of Marie O'Neal Adams and the late William "Buck" Adams, was born
October 4, 1950 in Johnston County, North Carolina. On Tuesday, November 7,
2000, he departed this life in Wendell, North Carolina. He received his
formal education from the Richard B. Harrison High School, Selma, North
Carolina and continued his academic studies at Fayetteville State
University, Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was employed by Rainbow
Transportation Services until his health began to fail.He was a member of White Oak Hill Baptist
Church in Middlesex, North Carolina.In 1990,
Leroy was united in Holy Matrimony to Bonita Turner. He was a loving
husband, a devoted father, a one of a kind son, brother and a true friend
to all. Leroy's generosity extended to everyone, always lending a helping hand.He leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Bonita
Adams; two daughters, Pamela Adams of Goldsboro, Natalie Adams of Raleigh;
one son, Nicholas Cameron Adams of the home; his mother, Marie Adams of
Middlesex; seven sisters, Mary Lee Baldwin (Charles) of Durham, Linda
Frederick (Jerome) Of Roanoke, Va., Ernestine Owen (Donald) of Windsor,
Ct., Catherine Mann of Bloomfield, Ct., Nena Jackson (Jimmy) of Middlesex,
Margorie Ellis of Bloomfield, Ct., Lisa English (Leroy) of Durham; one
brother, James Adams (Beatrice) of Middlesex; grandmother, Nova O'Neal of
Middlesex; six aunts; three uncles; a great aunt; a mother-inlaw, Gladys J. White of Wendell; grandmother-in-law;
Esther Johnson of Wendell; one brother-in-law, Brian White of Charlotte;
six nieces; seven nephews; special friends, Debra Davis, Herbert and Sheila
Gray, Cornell Herndon, Carl and Dottie Meeks and Mary Wells; a host of
other loving relatives and
friends.
