LEONA MCGEE ADAMS was
born October 1, 1916 to the late Jack McGee and Ella Torain
McGee in Person County, North Carolina. She attended public school there
until she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at an early age.
She worked for many wonderful people as a nanny and housekeeper.
She was the wife of the late George Adams. She became a member of Mt.
Zion Baptist-Church of Germantown where she joined the choir and was
involved in the October Circle for many years.
Leona was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
She leaves her memories with: an adoptive sister, Nancy Register of New
Jersey; and many nieces, nephews and friends here in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
