Jarious Adams, son of the
late George and Alberta Montague Adams, was born April 17, 1914 in Wake
County, North Carolina. Early in
life he joined the Stokes Chapel Baptist Church. On July 13, 1937
he was united in Holy matrimony to Rosa Lee Basket. To this union twelve
children were born. One preceded him in death. He departed this life on
Friday, November 17, 1989 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, North Carolina. He is survived by: his wife, Mrs. Rosa
Adams; seven daughters, Mrs. Alberta Shire of Wendell, Mrs. Rosa O'Neal of
Garner, Mrs. Loretta Spivey of Alexandria, Virginia, Mrs. Theo Bryce and
Mrs. Vera Stancil both of Zebulon, Mrs. Vivian Williams of Raleigh and Ms.
Carolyn Adams of Durham; four sons, William Lee Adams of Bronx, N.Y., Glen
Ray Adams and Phillip Adams both of Zebulon, and Ivan Adams of Raleigh;
twelve sisters, Mrs. Catherine Gitney, Mrs.
Eunice Tocas, Mrs. Laura Cooke, Mrs. Ruth Garrett
all of Philadelphia, Pa., Ms. Irene Adams, Mrs. Aldonia
Pace both of Zebulon, Mrs. Lois Alston of Middlesex, Mrs. Alberta Williams
of Wendell, Ms. Marie Adams, Mrs. Olovie Pulley
both of Spring Hope, Mrs. Betty Brown of Zebulon and Mrs. lantha Harris of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers,
Weldon "Buck" Adams of Middlesex, Youngford
Adams of New Jersey and George Adams of Philadelphia, Pa.; Several
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
