Mrs. Janice Faye Squirewell ,
daughter of the late Jessie and Mozelle Hardy, was born in Raleigh, NC on
September 7, 1957. She departed this life on February 15, 2014 at Duke
Medical Center, Durham, NC.
Faye attended Zebulon High School in Zebulon, NC where she graduated in
1975. She continued to work there after graduation, in the cafeteria, for
approximately 33 years until her health failed.
Faye accepted Christ at an early age, where she attended St. Luke
Holiness Church. Later, she became a faithful member of Stokes Chapel
Missionary Baptist Church where she attended Bible Study, Vacation Bible
School and faithfully worked in the church fellowship hail.
Faye would even sing in the choir just to be helpful wherever she could.
She was humble, dedicated and served in whatever capacity she was asked.
Faye was a loving wife, mother, sister, cousin, grandmother, aunt and
friend to everyone she met. To know her was to love her. She was a
Christian hearted woman and always believed in putting God first in her
life.
She never met a
stranger, for she always had a tale to tell. Faye loved to spend time
outdoors walking down the streets, walking along the sandy beaches, not to
mention going fishing at the pond. She always had her pole and bait ready
to go. She truly enjoyed the simple things in life.
