IANTHA ROSETTA HARRIS, the daughter of the late Samuel and Sophia Adams, was born May II, 1918 in North Carolina. She departed this life on Good Friday, March 25, 2016
She received her education in Zebulon, North Carolina and in September of 1,952 she moved to Baltimore, Maryland where she resided until death. She married DeeBee Harris in Baltimore, Maryland who preceded her in death. She made numerous friends wherever she went. Her very best friend was Mildred Acock who preceded her in death. All the children that met her loved her, they called her either "Mother" or "Grandmother". Anyone that knew mother knows she loved to play the piano. She was the pianist at Mt Zion United Church of God, where she was long time member.
She was preceded in death by two brothers George (June), Jairus and seven sisters, Eleanor, Aldonia, Luellen, Olovie, Betty, Ruth, and Naomi (Esther). She was blessed to have six children, Dorothy L. Everette, Hilda Florene Dusry (Flo) who preceded her in death, Joe M. Harris (fiancee’, Linda Harris), Lindy R. Adams, Valerie D. Mack, David T. Harris; daughter-in-law, Twynda M. Day-Harris; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, thirty-three great-great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Sharon M. Chase Grahman-Bey; nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. |
