Hildred Virginia Rand Williams, was born the first of four children to the late Kimber R. Rand and Margie Woods Rand on September 15, 1926 in Garner, NC.  She departed her earthly life on May 6, 2010 at her home on OId Williams Road.

 

Hildred attended Garner Colored School in Garner, NC. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ulice Hugh Williams. They married on August 3, 1946, and to that union five children were born, Ulice E. (Annette), W Marie Evans (Warrie Jr.), W Morris (Angela), CIara Chavis, and Donald W. Willaams (Carmen) all of Raleigh, NC

 

Hildred gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was an active member of Wake Baptist Grove Church in Gamer, NC, where she was an usher for many years.  She also attended Springfield Baptist Church with her husband Deacon Ulice H. Williams and her children.

 

She was employed with the Wake County Public School System for thirty years.  After her retirement she enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, canning vegetables  and fruits, making jelly and preserves, and running the road with her daughter Marie doing coupon shopping. Hlildred was one in a million, and her greatest love was her family. In addition to her husband and children, she leaves to cherish

 

her memories, eleven grandchildren, Sonia H. Leach (Greg), Felicia Evans Woodard (Adolph), Warrie Evans III, Phillip J. Evans, Ulice "Lamont" Williams, Tisha R. Williams, Donald A. Williams, Marquita A. Chavis, Maria T Williams, Morris  D. Williams and Alvin "Stefan" Evans. Eleven grcat-grand children, Christopher, KyMori, Trevion, Erika,Aaron, Jayla, Chamya, Mheky, C'Yonni, Joshua and Cameron. One sister, Mildred Alexander of Garner, NC, two brothers, Kimber R. Rand (Raleigh, NC), Billie C. Rand (Garner, NC), four brother-in-laws, Morris C., Lenton I. (Daisy), Pete C. Williams (Florine), Charles Peppers, four sister-in-laws, Nine Mae Hill, Emma Davidson, Shirley Tomlinson (George) and Audrey W: Williams all of Raleigh, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She also leaves to cherish, three special friends, Topsy Coleman, Lemontine Badger, Lillie Mae Jenkins and four of the world's greatest home healthcare givers, Ingrid Smith, Makala Deane-Hines, Hattie Perry and Icilama Knight.
