Esther N. Adams was
born October 10, 1926 to the late Sophia and Samuel Adams in Nash County,
North Carolina.
She attended A&T College in Greensboro, North Carolina 1944-1948
received a B.S. degree in Business Administration. in 1949 she came to
Washington, D.C., and worked for the Federal Government for 15 years. She
was married to Calvin L. Posey on June 20, 1964.
She was a faithful member of the Carmody Hill
Baptist Church and was a member of the Flower Club.
Those left to cherish her memories are: Her beloved husband Calvin L.
Posey, Seat Pleasant, Md.; two daughters: Gwendolyn Evans, Temple Hills,
Md.; Dawne Orr, Andrews Air Force Base, Md.; two sons: Jimmy Bridges, Fort
Hood, Texas; Leon Posey, Seat Pleasant; four grandchildren: Katrina
Rochelle, Charles, Jr., and Omar; five sisters: Aldonia
Pace, Wendell, North Carolina, lantha Harris,
Baltimore, Maryland, Bettie Brown, Zebulon, North Carolina; Ruth Guerrant, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Olovia Pulley, Spring Hope, North Carolina; two adopted
brothers: Jarius Adams, Zebulon, North Carolina
and George Adams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews
and a host of relatives and friends.
