On October 7 , 1999 in the quiet of the morning the Lord came and took one of his own, Dora Peace Wortham. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Peace and Susie Brandon Peace. She was born on June 4, 1913 and departed from this life on October 7, 1999 at Oxford Manor after a long illness. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of llong Baptist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Circle and the Senior Choir.

 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory five daughters, Ella Sherrer (Louis) of Newark, New Jersey, Margaret Mitchell of Irvington, New Jersey, Mary F. Green (Ervin) of Oxford, North Carolina, Lorene Mitchiner of Kittrell, North Carolina and Annie Cozart (Harvey) of Butner, North Carolina; four sons, Willie Wortham (Emma) of Piscataway, New Jersey, William Wortham (Annie R.) of Creedmoor, North Carolina, Walter Wortham of Winston-Salem and Hughley Wortham of Kittrell, North Carolina; twenty- nine grandchildren ; thirty- five great-grandchildren ; ten great-great-grandchildren ; five sisters, Bertha Hatchett of Winston-Salem, North Carolina Helen Jones (James) of Newark, New Jersey, lnez Brame of New York, Norma Loving of Bronx, New York and Voydeen Fuller (James) of Winston- Salem, North Carolina; three brothers, Albert (Louise) Peace of Franklinton, North Carolina, Bobby (Ann) Peace of Foxhall, New Jersey and Johnnie (Loraine) Peace of Newark, New Jersey; one sister-in-law, Mattie Waddy of Oxford, North Carolina; one uncle; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
