Burnell Wallace
Pulley, Sr. entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2000. He was born in
Franklin County, North Carolina to Olovie Adams Pulley and the late Sherman
Pulley. He later moved to Newport News, Virginia where he had been a
resident for 34 years. Burnell was
employed at Newport News Shipbuilding in Department X33 where he worked for
34years. He was preceded in death
by his father, Sherman Pulley; a sister Barbara Pulley, and a brother
Chester W. Pulley. He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Pulley; one
daughter, Veronica D. Webster of Portsmouth; two sons, Burnell W. Pulley,
Jr. of Hampton and Demetrius L. Pulley of Newport News; his mother, Olovie
A. Pulley of Spring Hope, North Carolina; one sister, Pamela 0. Pulley of
Raleigh, North Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Teny Judge-Pulley of Hampton;
one son-in-law, Jeffrey L. Webster of Portsmouth; one grandson, Burnell W.
Pulley, III of Hampton; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews,
and a host of other relatives and friends.He touched the lives of many with
his kind words, his sense of humor, and his smile. He will be sorely missed
by all. The Lord is my shepherd; I
shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me
beside the stillwaters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death,I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; thy rod and
thy staff they comfort me.
