Mr. Benjamin Sammuel Pace III, son of Mr. Worley P. pace and the
late Mrs. Aldonia Adams Pace was born on
September 28, 1954 in Wendell N.C. During his early years and in his late
teens he joined Stokes Missionary Baptist Church where he odd jobs around
the church.
He received is formal
education from the Wake County Public School system. He graduated from
Sampson County High School 1974. He attended and graduated from Shaw
University in Raleigh North Carolina. His major was Business
Administration.
Benjamin was a unique and
gifted young man because of his humbleness and being able to talk about any
subject with anyone. One of his loves in life was working in the tobacco
fields with his two mules Kate and Julie. His other love was at the end of
the day, weather permitting, his father along with some of the family
members, and went fishing in the old creek. Benjamin was very attached to
his mules and was very upset when his father turned the mules in for a
tractor. Even though he was gentle and loving to his mules, in time he
turned his affection toward the tractor.
After leaving home, Benjamin
worked on several jobs. Some of his jobs were at Square D and S. T. Wooten
construction where he was a supervisor with many employees under him until
recently. Benjamin always tried to do his best on his jobs and encourage
others to do the same. He received many awards and promotions.
It is our understanding that
on April 14, 2012 Benjamin peacefully departed this earthly life and his
spirit was reunited with the Father. Those who have departed before him are
mother: Aldonia Pace, sister: Alberta Smith, and
brother: Worley S Pace.
He leaves to cherish his
memory his father: Worley P. Pace of Wendell NC; one sister, Joan Pace of
